Well, it was definitely a conversation piece. Yeah, I live right across the hall from you guys. My twin brother and I- he has white hair though if you run into him and start to wonder why I dyed my hair or something. You’re welcome to stop by whenever- I told Cassim the same thing.
You have a twin? [ Alibaba looks surprised by that, then grins at him. ] And you're both here? I'm not sure if that's really good luck, or really terrible. But it's good to know someone who's living so close to us. This place is... a lot to take in.
Depends on the day. [ Billy returns the grin. Some days he loves Tommy and some days Tommy drives him crazy. ] I got here first though, he showed up recently so it’s been nice to have him around again. Remind me I said that when I want to throttle him.
It is a lot. Especially if you accidentally walk into a restaurant that whips you. They aren’t all like this I promise. But you’re welcome to stop by anytime you have a question.
He looks thoroughly unimpressed by her whining, his arms still crossed resolutely over his chest. In fact, the last comment she makes has him looking indignant all over again! ]
My virginity has nothing to do with any of this! You're just rude!
[ Alibaba has to bite his tongue when it's her hand that starts wandering up his arm, his eyes wide as they dart back to her face. He's just about to say something, because she seems to have lost herself in the sensations, when he sees realization crash back into her and she jerks back away from him once more.
It's almost impossible to miss that flash of jumbled emotions, and even if he doesn't know why she feels them, he's experienced them enough on his own to recognize them in someone else.
He keeps his hands where she can see them still, slowly lowering them back to his sides. ]
Are you alright? [ His voice is gentle and genuinely concerned as he searches her face, a little uncertain now. ] Did that... I didn't hurt you, did I?
[ He's pretty sure he hadn't been the actual cause of that slap of emotions, but he was worried all the same. ]
And... this sounds terrible, but I'm not sure that matters a whole lot here. We still need Chroma to survive in this place.

Of course he had to involve that in the conversation...

[ Alibaba can only chuckle at Billy's exasperated tone, shooting him an amused look. ]
I'm glad for you, though. I think it makes it easier, having someone here you can depend on.
[ He's still trying to figure out if he can trust Cassim to be that person, but... he hopes so.
He makes a face at the mention of the waitress again. ] Ugh, I hope not. But thank you. I appreciate that - really.
